CHILD SAFETY

Who is with your child, and what holds.

This page answers a parent's questions in the order they usually arrive, and it answers them as plain fact: who is in the room, who those people are, what the technology can never do, what we hold about your child, and who to write to if something worries you.

WHO IS WITH MY CHILD

Who is with my child?

A professional your family knows by name. Every session is led by a facilitator, and Nacient is never an unsupervised AI experience for a young person.

When the program runs in its full form, every room has at least two facilitators. The pilot is smaller, and we distinguish it honestly: the founder facilitates the founding sessions, and parents are present.

No facilitator is alone with a student out of sight of other adults.

WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE

Who are these people?

Anyone facilitating will hold a current Working With Children Check by the time workshops are facilitated. That includes the founder's own check. Every check is verified by the company and linked to us as the employer before any student contact; no check is ever self-attested.

Selection is structural: nobody reaches a room on the strength of one conversation, and the path there ends with the check verified, before any student contact.

WHAT THE AI CAN NEVER DO

What can the AI never do?

01

Contact your child. No channel for it exists.

02

Be reached outside the workshop window. A request outside it is met only by the venture's world, never by a conversation.

03

Learn from your child's work. It is not trained on student work, internally or externally.

04

Judge your child on its own. Nothing about a student reaches anyone without a person in the loop.

05

Become a confidant. It plays the world the venture lives in, and it is never allowed to become a friend.

If anything a student writes raises a concern for their safety, it goes to a person, and the venture's world never answers it. And everything generated is safety-checked before it reaches a student; where nothing safe can pass, nothing is shown.

The Technology carries the full statement of what the platform is and what it refuses to do.

WHAT WE HOLD ABOUT THEM

What do you hold about them?

When you ask for deletion, personal content and identifying records go; a de-identified record of developing capability remains, stated in full in the privacy statement.

What would you actually hold about my child?

What we never do. We never show a child their capability as marks or a score, and no AI provider ever learns who your child is.

What we deliberately do, and why. The program keeps a private picture of each learner's developing capability, held for teaching, because that is how the simulation meets your child where they are. If anything a student writes raises a concern for their safety, it goes to a person. And when you ask for deletion, personal content and identifying records go; a de-identified record of developing capability remains, and we say so.

What is still being designed. Report formats, retention periods for operational records, and the final provider list, each marked openly in the statement.

Read the full privacy statement, clause by clause.

IF SOMETHING WORRIES YOU

If something worries you.

A concern of any kind, including about a child's safety or data, goes to concern@nacient.tech and is read by a person, not routed into a queue.

General questions go to hello@nacient.tech.

Where the law requires a report about a child's safety, the report is made. No one inside the company, including the founder, can gate or delay it.

If a privacy concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the OAIC, at oaic.gov.au. We would rather you told us first, and that route is yours regardless.

THE REST OF YOUR QUESTIONS

If a question of yours is not answered here, ask it, and the answer comes from a person.

The questions a careful parent asks, answered plainly: the FAQ.
