FAQ

The questions a careful parent asks.

Answered plainly, in the order they usually matter. If yours isn't here, ask it directly; the reply comes from a person.

01Who is with my child in the room?

A professional facilitator you know by name, always. Sessions are small-group and facilitator-led; Nacient is never an unsupervised AI experience for a young person. Anyone facilitating will hold a current Working With Children Check by the time workshops are facilitated.

02Who do I contact if something worries me, including about my child’s safety or data?

A concern of any kind (about a session, about safety, about data) goes to concern@nacient.tech, where it is read by a person, not routed into a queue. General questions go to hello@nacient.tech. If a privacy concern isn't resolved to your satisfaction, the privacy statement names the escalation route to the OAIC plainly.

03What do you collect about my child?

The minimum a session needs to run: who they are, how to reach you, and the state of their venture. No AI provider ever learns who your child is.

Two things we do on purpose, said plainly rather than waved away:

  • the program keeps a private picture of each learner's developing capability (that is what lets the world meet them where they are), held for teaching, never shown to your child as marks or scores, never used to compare students;
  • what a student writes inside the simulation is checked for safety, so a concern in their words reaches a person instead of an AI's reply.

What we hold, you can see on request, and have personal content and identifying records deleted on request; a de-identified record of developing capability is what remains, and we say so rather than promise an erasure we couldn't honestly deliver. The full statement is here.

04Who is the facilitator?

The person who holds the room and the relationship: they press on your child's reasoning (why that price, what would make the other call better) and never mark answers. They are also your family's single point of contact. In the founding cohort, the facilitator is the founder.

05What happens if we miss a session?

The venture simply waits for its owner, exactly as it was left, and catching up is worked out with your contact.

06How does leaving work?

Up to one week before the series starts, you can withdraw with a full refund, free. After that, withdrawing converts the prepaid value into a non-transferable credit toward a future series; where real hardship is involved, we hold discretion to do more than the clause requires. Going is laid out as clearly as staying, and we keep it that way deliberately.

07Why does it cost what it costs?

Because the room is expensive to run well:

  • working sessions of two-and-a-half to three hours, in small groups;
  • a consistent staged venue;
  • a contact who actually answers;
  • a simulation built for this and nothing else.

The founding-cohort rate is set in conversation, plainly, before you commit to anything.

08What does the AI actually do, and not do?

It runs the venture's world between sessions: moves the numbers honestly, brings consequences back, and adapts difficulty and pace to the student.

  • It never learns who your child is: the simulation knows each student only as a code, and a student's identity is never provided to any AI provider.
  • It does not teach, grade, or chat with your child unsupervised.
  • Everything generated is safety-checked before it reaches a student; a safety concern in a student's writing routes to a person, and the venture's world never answers it.

The judgement work (the pressing questions, the relationship) belongs to the facilitator. What the platform does and refuses to do is stated in full on The Technology page.

09What stage is Nacient at?

Pre-launch. The program is designed and built to what this site describes; the founding cohort is being formed now; there are no student outcomes yet and nothing here claims any. This site describes design intent, and says so.

10What happens after I register interest?

A person replies, usually within two working days. It's a conversation about your child and whether this fits, not a sales sequence. Registering interest is free and commits you to nothing.
